We’re looking for SEN Teaching Assistants and ABA Tutors to support children with autism (ASD) in specialist schools in Earls Court and West London. Your degree taught you how behaviour works. Now see it in action, every single day. These schools use Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour, and they’ll train you from day one. No classroom experience needed, just your psychology background and real enthusiasm for working with children.

Why Psychology Graduates love this role:

  • You’ll use what you studied, such as reinforcement, prompting and data collection, in a real ABA setting.
  • You’ll build the hands-on experience that assistant psychologist roles, clinical psychology doctorates and BCBA training all look for.
  • You’ll see children make real progress because of the work you put in.

What you’ll do:

  • Teach children with autism one to one and in small groups, using ABA and Verbal Behaviour.
  • Deliver programmes designed by experienced supervisors, at the table and through play.
  • Record each child’s responses and progress.
  • Support communication, independence and emotional regulation, including children whose behaviour can challenge.
  • Help with personal care and life skills programmes, always with dignity.

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree in Psychology (Behavioural Science, Child Development or Education also considered).
  • Energy, warmth and patience with children.
  • Someone who uses their initiative and gets stuck in.
  • Experience with children, paid or voluntary, is a bonus but not essential.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one (we’ll help).
  • The right to work in the UK.

What you’ll get:

  • £95 to £110 per day.
  • Full ABA training in specialist schools.
  • Monday to Friday, school hours, with school holidays off.
  • Long term placements, with the option to go permanent.
  • Easy to reach on the District and Piccadilly lines.
  • A dedicated consultant who works only in SEN and meets every candidate in person.

Principal Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references and right to work checks. We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
