About the Role

We are seeking an inspirational SENCO who brings expertise, empathy, and leadership to our diverse, vibrant, and supportive school community. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our inclusion team, ensuring that every pupil with special educational needs receives exceptional support and personalised learning pathways. You will play a central role in shaping our SEND provision, supporting staff, working with families, and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning—academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop outstanding SEND provision across the school
  • Provide expert support for students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and other complex needs
  • Coordinate EHCP processes and ensure high-quality, personalised support plans
  • Work closely with leadership teams, teachers, parents, and external agencies
  • Support and coach staff to deliver inclusive, differentiated teaching
  • Monitor pupil progress and implement effective interventions
  • Safeguard and champion the wellbeing of vulnerable learners
  • Ensure the school meets statutory SEND requirements and maintains exceptional practice

About You

  • Qualified
  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo)
  • QTS/QTLS essential
  • Experienced
  • Proven experience supporting students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other complex needs
  • Strong understanding of behaviour support, emotional regulation, and trauma-informed practice
  • Passionate & Child-Centred
  • Believes every pupil deserves the chance to succeed
  • Builds positive relationships and promotes inclusion and resilience
  • A Strong Leader
  • Able to inspire staff, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively
