A supportive secondary school in South London is seeking a committed KS2 Teacher to deliver a primary-style curriculum to Year 7 & 8. You’ll be teaching a broad range of subjects (Maths, English, Science and wider curriculum) to a small cohort, focusing on strong progress, excellent behaviour and building confidence for pupils who need a more nurturing transition into secondary.

This role suits:

  • Primary teachers confident teaching KS2 who want to work in a secondary setting
  • Secondary teachers with strong core subject knowledge and experience with lower KS3
  • Teachers experienced with SEN, EAL or vulnerable learners who enjoy smaller classes and pastoral focus

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver engaging KS2-style lessons across core and foundation subjects
  • Differentiating work to support SEN, EAL and vulnerable pupils, using support staff effectively
  • Track and assess progress, set clear targets and provide regular feedback to pupils and parents
  • Maintain excellent behaviour and a calm, structured classroom environment
  • Work closely with colleagues, support staff, parents and external agencies
  • Contribute to wider school life, including meetings, CPD and whole-school initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching KS2 and/or lower KS3
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Confident planning and delivering across a generalist primary-style curriculum
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Available full-time, Monday to Friday
