About the Role: We are seeking a driven and forward-thinking Head of Business to lead and develop our Business Studies provision. The successful candidate will lead the subject across Key Stages 4 and 5 (with potential to contribute to Key Stage 3), delivering engaging lessons and ensuring strong outcomes for all students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Business Studies curriculum to ensure outstanding teaching and learning
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire students and develop real-world business understanding
  • Drive student achievement and monitor progress across all key stages
  • Develop enrichment opportunities such as enterprise projects, trips, and partnerships with local businesses
  • Support and develop staff within the department
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement and curriculum innovation

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level (KS4/KS5)
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Be passionate about enterprise, finance, and preparing students for future careers
  • Have a track record of strong student outcomes
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
