We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and creative Art Technician to support our thriving Art Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical art skills and a passion for working with young people to play an important role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning. The successful candidate will work closely with the Art teachers to prepare materials, equipment and resources for lessons, maintain a safe and well-organised working environment, and support students in developing their practical and creative skills. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing and organising materials, equipment and resources for art lessons. Supporting teachers and students with a wide range of practical art activities. Maintaining art rooms, studios, equipment and storage areas to a high standard. Ensuring appropriate health and safety procedures are followed, including the safe use and storage of tools, materials and chemicals. Assisting with displays, exhibitions, school events and student artwork. Monitoring stock levels and ordering or sourcing materials when required. Carrying out basic maintenance and preparation of equipment and materials. Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Art Department. We are looking for someone who: Has practical experience or a strong interest in art and creative processes. Is organised, reliable and able to work independently. Has good practical and technical skills and an eye for detail. Can communicate effectively and work positively as part of a team. Is confident supporting young people in a school environment. Takes pride in maintaining a safe, creative and inspiring learning environment. Is willing to learn new techniques and work with a variety of artistic media
