Principal Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across Key Stages 4 and 5, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons in Health & Social Care. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes while preparing them for further education or careers within the health and social care sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach across KS4 and KS5 (BTEC and/or GCSE/A-Level where applicable)
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
  • Participate in parents evenings, staff meetings, and CPD

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Mandatory Experience teaching Health & Social Care at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable

  • Experience delivering BTEC Health & Social Care
  • Proven track record of strong student outcomes
  • Ability to contribute to wider school life
