We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and experienced Head of Social Science to lead our successful and expanding Social Science Faculty from September 2025. This is an outstanding opportunity to shape the strategic direction of Social Science education in a high-performing, forward-thinking school.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage a dedicated team of teachers delivering subjects including Psychology, Sociology, and Health & Social Care (with some overlap with Economics and Criminology where applicable).
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across KS4 and KS5.
  • Drive academic excellence and foster a passion for the social sciences among students.
  • Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, enrichment and staff development within the department.
  • Play an influential role in supporting progression to higher education, including competitive university destinations.
