About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and committed Teacher of Geography to join our successful Humanities faculty from September 2026. About the Department
The Geography department is a thriving and well-established part of the school, with strong outcomes at GCSE and A-Level. The curriculum is ambitious, engaging, and designed to equip students with both physical and human geographical knowledge, as well as essential analytical and fieldwork skills. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued growth and success of the department, including enrichment opportunities such as field trips and co-curricular activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development
- Organise and support fieldwork and enrichment activities
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to ensure excellent outcomes
- Work collaboratively within the Humanities faculty and wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A degree in Geography or a related subject
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge across physical and human Geography
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (GCSE essential; A-Level desirable)
- The ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
- A commitment to inclusive education and high academic standards
