Principal Education are currently recruiting an experienced Food Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in East London. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled teacher to deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
THE ROLE
- Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Plan, prepare, and assess practical and theory-based lessons
- Maintain a safe, organised, and well-managed food technology classroom
- Inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, confidence, and creativity
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the Design & Technology department and wider staff team
- Ensure all health & safety and food hygiene standards are followed
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant UK teaching experience
- Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
- Good knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene regulations
- Reliable, professional, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
