An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Dagenham is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join its Performing Arts department on a full-time maternity cover from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging Drama lessons that encourage creativity, confidence and performance skills. The Role
- Teach Drama across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire creativity and achievement.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback to support learning.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.
- Contribute to extra-curricular Drama productions and wider Performing Arts activities where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively within a supportive and well-established department.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Drama in a UK secondary school.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Has strong curriculum knowledge and a passion for Performing Arts.
- Is committed to raising attainment and supporting students of all abilities, including those with SEND and EAL.
- Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
