At Princess Alice Hospice, we support people through life, death and grief across the London Boroughs of Kingston, Richmond and large parts of Surrey. This Christmas, we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and hands-on Christmas Events Assistant to join our Fundraising team on a fixed-term contract until 22 January 2027.

As our Christmas Events Assistant , you will be right at the heart of our festive fundraising programme, helping to create welcoming, well-organised and memorable Christmas events for our supporters, volunteers and local community. From preparation and set-up to event delivery and follow-up, you will help make sure every detail runs smoothly and every supporter feels part of something special.
The Christmas Events Assistant role is a hands-on seasonal role and is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, staying calm when things are busy and finding satisfaction in making events feel welcoming, organised and enjoyable. You will support event administration, supporter communications, volunteer coordination, materials, logistics and on-the-day activity, helping our Christmas events sparkle while raising vital funds for Princess Alice Hospice.
What you will bring as Christmas Events Assistant:
Experience in events, fundraising, administration, customer service, hospitality, retail or another people-focused environment.
Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and confident approach to supporters, volunteers, suppliers and visitors.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage several tasks during a busy seasonal period.
A practical, flexible and proactive approach, with the willingness to help where needed before, during and after events.
Confidence using basic IT systems to support event administration, communications and record keeping.
Flexibility to attend events outside standard working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. xiskglj
