Main duties of the job

  • Provide efficient and confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Paediatric Liaison Service.
  • Receive, process, and appropriately share paediatric and safeguarding information, escalating concerns to the relevant clinician as required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external enquiries, maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Ensure safeguarding information and documentation are managed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain electronic systems, databases, and patient records in line with information governance requirements.
  • Collate and input data using Excel, supporting routine reporting, audits, and service monitoring within agreed timeframes.
  • Arrange meetings, manage diaries, prepare agendas, and take and distribute accurate minutes.
  • Support the effective day‑to‑day running of the Paediatric Liaison service by prioritising workloads and working collaboratively within the Safeguarding Team.
