The role supports delivery of high quality patient care by providing high-quality clinical care, contributing to service development, and educating and training resident staff.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide senior clinician services in Oncology as per job plan or as agreed within the Trust.
- Work with consultant colleagues, nursing and therapies staff to ensure efficient use of Trust’s resources and contribute actively to clinical governance in the department and to development of quality enhancement projects in the unit.
- Attend MDTs as required to support Peer Review compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Trust policies.
- Attend patients whilst receiving admitted care.
- Provide teaching and mentoring.
