Main duties of the job
- Perform a variety of complex diagnostic tests for the cardiac assessment unit following a daily workload schedule as instructed.
- To provide written reports for all investigations.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members.
- Organisation of departmental diaries and day to day service provision.
- Assist with writing and development of department protocols
- Support education, training and personal development of other team members.

- Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To independently perform and report transthoracic Echocardiography.
- To participate in specialist echo including TOE, DSE, LVO and bubble echo
- To analyse and provide a written report for 24 hour (or longer) ECG recordings using Pathfinder Digital or Pathfinder SL.
- To analyse Event Monitors.
- To lead Exercise Tolerance tests and provide a written report.
- To teach and supervise junior members of staff and student physiologists.
- Assist with training other staff (including junior medical staff) in the performance and technique of tests performed within the department.
- To use the Hospital Patient Administration system (Cosmic).
- To use the Cardiology patient management system (CRIS).
- To maintain a clean working environment.
- Be flexible to provide cover at other sites.
- Assist as required with research projects undertaken.
- Identify own training needs and maintain own skill development.
