The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is embarking on an exciting transformation of its People function through the creation of a new People & Culture Directorate.

As part of this journey, we are seeking an exceptional leader to join us as our Assistant Director of People Experience & Inclusion.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of workforce experience across our organisation.

Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will lead the development and delivery of our inclusion, organisational development, wellbeing, and people experience agenda, helping to create a culture where our people can do their very best work and deliver outstanding care for our patients.

Main duties of the job

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will provide strategic leadership across:

  • Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDI&B)
  • Organisational Development and Culture
  • Employee Relations
  • Staff Health and Wellbeing
  • Workforce Experience and Engagement

You will work closely with executive leaders, divisional teams, staff networks, trade unions, and external partners to embed inclusion and belonging into everything we do.

Your leadership will help drive improvements in staff experience, workforce equality standards, wellbeing outcomes, and organisational culture.

  • We are looking for an inspirational and values-led leader who can demonstrate:
  • Significant senior leadership experience in EDI, Organisational Development, Employee Relations, or People Experience.
  • A successful track record of delivering large-scale culture, inclusion, or workforce transformation programmes.
  • Strong experience of influencing at executive level and working in complex organisations.
  • Expertise in workforce equality, employee engagement, and organisational change.
  • The ability to use data and insight to drive measurable improvements.
  • A passion for creating inclusive workplaces where everyone can belong and succeed.
