This is a part-time, on-site Dentist role based at Princes Street Dental Care in Dorchester. The Dentist will provide a full range of general dental services, including routine examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, preventive care, restorative procedures, and simple extractions as appropriate.
Daily responsibilities include delivering high-quality clinical care, maintaining accurate and compliant clinical records, and communicating clearly with patients about treatment options, costs, and preventive advice. The role also involves working collaboratively with dental nurses, hygienists, and reception colleagues to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive patient experience. The Dentist will be expected to adhere to all regulatory and infection control standards and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the practice.
Qualifications
- Recognized dental degree (e.g., BDS or equivalent) and full registration with the relevant dental regulatory body (e.g., GDC or local equivalent).
- Demonstrated clinical skills in general dentistry, including examinations, diagnosis, preventive care, and routine restorative treatments.
- Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain treatment plans clearly and support patients who may be anxious.
- Commitment to high standards of infection prevention, health and safety, and accurate clinical record-keeping.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and patient-focused practice culture.
- Ongoing commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and staying current with best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Previous experience in a general dental practice setting is preferred; experience in cosmetic or preventive dentistry is an advantage.
