MPA Group Practices are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist/Practice Administrator to work 18 hours per week over two days (Monday and Friday) at Princes Park Medical Centre and Balmoral Gardens (with the possibility of covering other Group Practice Sites if required) with excellent interpersonal, customer service and organisational skills to work across the Group Practice. The Group Practice covers five sites across Medway and Swale with a 30,600 patient list size.

Main duties of the job:

  • Applicants will be required to work on a busy reception desk, dealing with patients both over the telephone and face to face, while providing a friendly and professional service.
  • The role also involves working in the back office, carrying out a range of clinical administration tasks to support the wider practice team and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations.

Previous reception, administration and/or customer service experience is desirable, along with strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and good organisation skills.

About us:

MPA Ltd is a GP Federation delivering multiple clinical services across Medway and Swale; this includes Primary Care Services at Castle and Maidstone Road Surgery and MPA Group Practices, Home Visiting Service and supporting PCNs with the delivery of Enhanced Access Hours.

Person Specification:

  • Experience: Experience in an office or administrative setting, experience working in Primary Care, experience of working with the general public, experience of working in a Healthcare Setting.
  • Qualifications: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, qualification in Customer Care.
  • Skills: Experience handling a high volume of calls efficiently, experience using Office and Outlook in a work environment.
