Pivotal role within Supply Chain, evaluating customer demand against Finished Goods to deliver a production plan, taking account of capacity. Highlighting issues and identifying opportunities to balance customer demand and Wisbech site supply in the short to medium term horizon.
Role Description: Re-evaluate service levels daily - proactively amending production schedules to react to demand and sales forecasts to optimise customer service and operational costs. Ensure timely delivery of an accurate supply plan for raw materials and packaging scheduling. Keep a rolling fixed factory schedule accurate and up to date. Cover for holidays and other absences within department.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Planning of production lines to maintain efficient, feasible schedule, keeping plans as stable as possible.
- Maintain customer service for the site at 99% or above.
- Liaise with MPS Team to maintain finished goods stocks to agreed levels.
- Provide accurate and timely information to the material scheduling team.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Responsible for ensuring optimum customer service in terms of quantity and timeliness.
- Has authority to change production plan at any time (with the support of on-call managers during ‘out of hours’ where appropriate).
- Effective management of redundant stocks.
- Effective management of NPD/EPD, ensuring customer launch requirements are met.
- Regular review of planning run rates in conjunction with operational Department Managers.
- Maintain and upkeep of all planning master data.
- Collaborative working with the MPS Team to ensure business requirements are met.
