Princes Liverpool is recruiting for an Assistant Commercial Accountant to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has recently graduated or is studying their AAT looking to progress into CIMA. This position offers full study support which means that you can progress your career at a leading FMCG business whilst progressing in your CIMA qualification. Monday to Thursday you will be working from our flagship office situated in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, and then you will be able to work from home on a Friday.

Role Description
To support the business in providing a comprehensive financial support service to commercial and operational management in order to maximise short and long term profitability for the business. As a key member of the Finance team, you will be required to liaise with various levels of personnel to ensure that the commercial information produced is done so on a sound basis, and in accordance with the requirement to make sound business decisions accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of costing tender information, including NPD-type costings, to commercial management teams.
- Periodical updating of standard costs via SAP and related support processes.
- Assisting the Finance Manager Procurement with the production of budget information for product costs.
- Assisting the Finance Manager with the production of monthly PPV forecasts.
- Working with commercial teams to assist with costings and provision for other information for the completion of major tenders, updating of joint business plans etc.
- Review of PPV forecast to actual with the objective of improving forecast accuracy.
- Ensure posting for procurement related accruals are completed in a timely manner for all sectors.
- Development work, particularly Excel-related, in other areas to assist in the provision of timely information.
- Ad hoc investigations and analysis.

Working Hours
Monday - Friday 08.45 - 17.00 with Fridays working from home.
Role Requirements
- Excel proficiency, and in particular, pivot tables and look-ups.
- Desire to study CIMA qualification
- SAP experience - costing and capex.
- MS Office.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines.
- To be able to demonstrate a commercial approach to costings and ad hoc work.
