We are currently seeking Gantry/Line Services Operatives to join our team at Dartmouth Way on a permanent basis working 06:00 - 14:00 hrs Monday to Friday inclusive.
Main Purpose of the Job
The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the lines are serviced with product in a timely and accurate manner to maintain the highest level of efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Arrange with a warehouse operative to deliver products required for production (mixes & raw materials) to Mezzanine Service Platform.
- Ensure Stahl Hoist Checks are carried out.
- Check with machine operatives which product they require on each line.
- When pallet has been delivered to service platform, open gate, Complete Mezz Acceptance checks and record on relevant paperwork.
- Ensure the Pallet is weighed onto the Mezzanine Platform using the Euroscale
- Transfer to machine area using Hand Pallet truck.
- SA's delivered to the Mezzanine Floor for WIP production will be delivered in 'Oldest' first order, Bags must be used Oldest Date first and the machine operator MUST be informed when 'newer dated' bags are being hung.
Dates are crucial as all WIP production need to be exactly 90 days BBE from date of Blending.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed for all operations in full, on time and accurately.
- Conduct all quality checks during the process to ensure Right First Time.
- To protect the health, safety and welfare of the jobholder and others at all times.
- To take an active role in continuously developing personal skills and knowledge through self-development activities and/or through attending Company organised training and development opportunities.
- To ensure that the Company is professionally represented at all times, both inside and outside the business.
- To respond to ad hoc requests and/or take an active role in specific projects as directed by the role’s line manager.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required by the Company.
- Ensure all traceability/hold issues are reported immediately to Technical.
- Ensure brand integrity is maintained at all times according to business policies and procedures.
