We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance our organisation’s quality standards. They will be responsible for continually improving our Millerdale site’s aspect of food safety & product quality systems to ensure due diligence & legal compliance as well as increasing customer confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure the Food Safety & Legal Compliance of all Millerdale products & processes.
  • To continually develop the Millerdale Food Safety & Quality System functions ensuring BRC Grade A certification is always maintained.
  • HACCP team leader.
  • Manage the sites HACCP team and systems, to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • To ensure that site and personal hygiene standards are maintained to a high level, including management of pest control contractors.
  • To manage Customer & Supplier technical contacts ensuring ingredient, packaging & finished product specifications together with artwork approvals are completed accurately on time, every time.
  • To ensure any production related non-conformances are successfully closed out and appropriate preventative measures are implemented in a timely fashion.
  • To develop and implement appropriate Food Safety & Quality System training of both Technical and factory staff.
  • To provide technical support to site project teams responsible for including New Product Developments, Continuous Improvement Projects as well as the installation and commissioning of new products and equipment.
  • To ensure all site developments are successfully incorporated into the factory Food Safety & Quality Systems.
  • To continually improve Product Quality & consistency to ensure our products are preferred to our competitor’s products.
  • To manage the Crisis Management Team and implement best practice with regard to Product Recall ensuring an accurate, efficient and timely information retrieval system.
  • To manage all aspects of customer quality sampling sessions, and ensure root cause implementation to drive product improvements.
  • To ensure brand integrity is maintained at all times according to business policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade, which may be required from time to time.

This role will be based at our Millerdale site in Bradford (BD4 6RX), but there is the possibility of working from home one day a week.
