Logistics Coordinator Wolverhampton (very easy access and close to the M54). Temporary ongoing. £14.00 - £16.00 per hour. Monday - Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm or 8:30am – 4:30pm with early finish on Friday.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient management of shipments from the site within the EMEA region (road, rail, sea and air) and assist in preparing shipping orders for third‑party providers.
- Support preparation of all shipping and export documentation.
- Contact third‑party logistics providers for quotations, manage cost, freight lists and supplier performance, and play an active role in supplier selection.
- Check and approve freight invoices against quotations.
- Assist in the sales order process and review and validate orders.
- Validate new customers and ensure they are set up correctly.
- Manage all administrative work involved in order management and monitoring.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and customer‑service skills.
- Previous experience in logistics (import/export by road, rail, air and sea) and good knowledge of SAP and customs processes.
- Experience managing third‑party logistics providers, although this is not essential.
- Good understanding of compliance requirements.
- Positive attitude and strong sense of urgency.
- Must be commutable from Telford, Cannock or Wolverhampton.
