Do you want to work for a successful and rapidly expanding Engineering business? Prince Personnel are working with a leading global business; our Telford-based client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join their team. You will be part of the mechanical assembly department, building complex systems and equipment from detailed engineering drawings. This role will be based in their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and you will be assembling components, working with motors, pumps, gear boxes and pneumatic systems.
The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for:
- Assembling and building mechanical systems and equipment
- Fault finding and diagnosing equipment issues
- Working from detailed engineering and technical drawings
- Using a variety of hand and power tools
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hands-on experience in mechanical equipment assembly or machine building or bench work
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes
- Previous experience using a variety of mechanical tools and equipment
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting and climbing, in line with health and safety guidelines
- Previous experience in a practical / hands on role such as Assembly Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Technician / Installation Technician
