My client is a well-established local business based north of Shrewsbury that manufacture and supply a unique and market leading product to their customers around the world. Due to high demand they are looking to recruit a Sales & Logistics Administrator to join their team on temporary basis for 3 – 6 months and possibly longer. This role will require you to respond to your customer’s enquiries in a professional and timely manner, give quotations, process sales orders, and organise logistics.
Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for global customer enquiries, delivering a high standard of customer service.
- Prepare and issue customer quotations as required, in coordination with the Operations Manager and Managing Director.
- Source transport quotations and arrange bookings for both road and sea freight.
- Raise and process purchase orders and related documentation for transport, warehousing, and associated suppliers.
- Provide accurate and timely information to customers, and responses to customer information requests.
- Support the preparation of collection and delivery documentation and assist with the dispatch of products from warehousing.
- Raise sales orders and associated documentation in a timely manner, including delivery and dispatch notes, pro‑forma invoices, credit notes, and final invoicing.
- Liaise closely with the UK Production Manager and third‑party warehouses across Europe and the USA to support operational requirements.
- Demonstrate strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related applications.
- Carry out general administrative duties, including filing and record management.
To be considered for this excellent opportunity you must have come from a strong sales administration/customer services background and can showcase your passion for exceeding your customers’ expectations. You must have great attention to detail; be highly motivated, patient, flexible & self-driven. Experience in logistics is desirable but not essential.
