Part Time Accounts Assistant

Telford

£13 - £14.50 per hour

Temporary up to 6 months possibly longer

Working 24 hours per week across 3 possibly 4 days.

Our well-established client is looking for a temporary Part Time Accounts Assistant to join the team on a temporary basis for up to 6 months. This will be a varied role supporting the Financial Accountant with the day-to-day accounting including sales ledger, purchase ledger and general ledger.

Duties will include:

  • Respond to supplier purchase ledger queries and complete filing as appropriate
  • Ensure invoices and/or purchase orders are approved
  • Reconcile supplier statements and manage any discrepancies
  • Process expense claims and credit card statements
  • Produce payment run for due and approved invoices
  • Provide effective credit control, including reviewing sales ledger accounts, contacting customers regarding overdue payments and raising debit notes where appropriate
  • Produce and maintain spreadsheets and records as required
  • Set up payments on the online banking system for authorisation by a Manager
