We are proud to be working in partnership with a well‑established and growing wholesale organisation with over 40 years of success supplying products to major UK and European retailers. Following a recent relocation to a new headquarters in Shropshire, our client is continuing to expand their product ranges and international reach. Due to this growth, they are seeking a talented and detail‑oriented Graphic Designer to join their team and play a key role in developing innovative product and brand visuals.
The Role
Working closely with the Product Development Manager, you will take creative concepts from initial brief through to final production. This is a varied, hands‑on role where you will be responsible for designing product packaging and supporting materials, ensuring all artwork meets brand, technical, and regulatory requirements. You will be involved in both creative design and technical artwork, contributing ideas while maintaining precision and accuracy across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop product packaging from concept through to print‑ready artwork
- Create branding elements including logos and visual identities
- Produce marketing materials such as catalogues, brochures, posters, flyers, adverts, and business stationery
- Design digital assets including website graphics and social media content
- Generate mock‑ups, presentations, and concept visuals for new product ideas
- Develop mood boards and contribute creative ideas for new product initiatives and range updates
- Ensure all packaging includes required regulatory/mandatory information and adheres to cutter guides
- Prepare artwork for print using correct specifications (CMYK, spot colours, Pantone matching)
- Collaborate with external partners (e.g., translation providers) to ensure designs accommodate multilingual content
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Present design concepts and revisions to internal stakeholders
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of colour theory, typography, and layout design
- Experience designing for print, particularly packaging artwork
- Knowledge of cutter guides, print specifications, and artwork set‑up
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret design briefs
- A proactive and creative mindset with the ability to bring new ideas forward
Additional Requirements
- Own transport is essential due to the rural location
- Comfortable working in a fully office‑based environment
- Must be comfortable working on your own at times depending on who is working in the office throughout the week
- Experience working with multilingual packaging or international markets is advantageous
