Prince Personnel are working with a well-established and growing business based in Telford. They are recruiting for an Accountant on a permanent basis. The role reports into the Finance Director and will be the only other finance person in the team, so it will be very hands-on. The role is responsible for assisting senior management in making critical decisions by managing, analysing and presenting key financial data.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable.
- Accounts receivable.
- Credit control.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash requirements.
- Reviewing and forecasting foreign currency requirements.
- Completing VAT reporting.
- Process the monthly payroll, pension payments, P11D and year-end reporting.
- Make sure that spending is in line with budgets.
- Assist with analysis of the company’s financial performance in view of making longer-term forecasts to include the preparation of cashflow forecasts.
- Recommend ways of cutting costs and continuous improvement.
- Provide information for audits.
- Conduct risk assessments and minimise financial risk.
- Manage the expenses and credit card processes, to include processing expenses and mileage claims.
- Do ad-hoc reports, projects, and conduct other duties as required.
Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will need to be at least AAT Level 3 qualified, or higher qualification, with experience of working in a similar role. It is essential that you have knowledge/experience of VAT. You will also need to be proficient in payroll processing, including P11D reporting, and be up to date with applicable legislation.
