Senior Test Engineer Location: Telford Duration Permanent Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hrs Salary: up to circa £50,000 per annum (experience dependant) Benefits: Impressive (well-above standard) annual leave Flexi-time Hybrid working Are you an experienced Test Engineer from a manufacturing, product validation or laboratory testing environment? Do you have a passion for evaluating product performance, reliability and compliance within a regulated engineering setting? We are supporting a well-established manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Senior Test Engineer to join their Quality Assurance team. This position will focus on laboratory-based testing, product validation and technical investigations, ensuring products meet customer, regulatory and internal quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or product testing environment and will be comfortable leading validation activities, analysing technical data and mentoring junior team members. The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for: * Leading the planning and execution of product validation, verification and re-qualification testing activities * Managing multiple testing programmes and ensuring delivery against customer and business requirements * Reviewing and developing test methods, procedures and acceptance criteria * Conducting laboratory testing on manufactured products and components * Analysing test results and producing detailed technical reports * Supporting product investigations, failure analysis and root cause activities * Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and technicians * Ensuring testing equipment and measurement systems are maintained and calibrated * Supporting audit and compliance activities within the laboratory environment * Identifying opportunities to improve testing capability, efficiency and data quality * Working closely with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to support product and process improvements * Applying a risk-based approach to testing activities and escalating technical concerns where appropriate Skills and Experience * HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline * Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing test laboratory, validation or product testing environment * Experience coordinating validation programmes or technical testing activities * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Experience producing technical reports and presenting findings to stakeholders * Degree qualification in Engineering would be advantageous * Experience of environmental, durability, reliability or performance testing would be advantageous If you're an experienced Test Engineer looking for an opportunity to take on a senior technical role within a global manufacturing organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
