Are you an experienced Administrator from a manufacturing, production, engineering or logistics environment? Do you enjoy working with data, solving problems and liaising with different departments to keep operations running smoothly? This is an excellent opportunity to join a large global manufacturer as a Materials Planning Administrator within their Materials and Logistics team. The role would suit someone with strong administration skills who is looking to develop their experience within materials planning, supply chain and production operations.
Working closely with production, logistics and supply chain teams, you will help ensure materials are available to support manufacturing schedules by reviewing system data, identifying material requirements and maintaining accurate stock and production information.
Duties will include:
- Reviewing MRP data to identify material shortages, gaps and potential supply issues
- Analysing material requirements and supporting plans to minimise production risks
- Liaising with production, logistics and supply chain teams to ensure material requirements are understood and actioned
- Conducting regular shop floor checks to verify work-in-progress (WIP), stock levels and production status
- Maintaining accurate records and updating system information where required
- Investigating discrepancies between system data and physical stock
- Producing reports and analysing information using Excel
- Supporting materials planning and logistics activities across the department
- Assisting with customs and import/export administration in the future as required
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Previous administration experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering, supply chain or logistics environment
- Strong administrative and data management skills
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations
- Confident Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across multiple departments
- A proactive approach and willingness to spend time on the shop floor verifying stock and work-in-progress
- Experience using MRP, ERP or production planning systems would be highly advantageous
- Previous experience within materials planning, production planning, logistics administration or supply chain administration would be beneficial
