This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and successful business within its Supply Chain function. Reporting to the Global Logistics Manager, the Logistics Planner will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth coordination and control of inbound logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining visibility of inbound shipments, resolving discrepancies, managing freight documentation and supporting logistics performance analysis to ensure continuity of supply across the business.
This position would suit an organised and detail-oriented logistics professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multiple departments and taking ownership of operational challenges from resolution through to completion.
As the Logistics Planner you will be getting involved in:
- Coordinating all inbound shipments to site, ensuring visibility of status, priorities and potential risks
- Liaising with freight forwarders, carriers and internal stakeholders to maintain a smooth flow of goods
- Monitoring inbound schedules and ensuring site readiness for receipt
- Managing freight tagging processes, including vendor invoice and shipment identification
- Creating and maintaining accurate inbound shipment records and system data
- Acting as the first point of contact for inbound logistics issues and discrepancies
- Investigating and resolving quantity, pricing, invoice and shipment discrepancies
- Working closely with Procurement, Buyers, Finance and Supply Planning teams to resolve issues efficiently
- Maintaining accurate shipment tracking, documentation and status updates
- Supporting logistics performance analysis, cost visibility and freight optimisation initiatives
- Assisting with reporting, dashboard development and identification of operational improvement opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with inbound logistics processes and supporting continuous improvement activities
We are looking for someone who has experience in:
- Previous experience within logistics, supply chain or inbound operations, ideally within a fast-paced or multi-SKU environment
- Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers and logistics documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve shipment, invoice and stock discrepancies
- Good working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
