Prince Personnel are working with a well-established and growing business based in Telford. They are recruiting for an Accountant on a permanent basis. The role reports into the Finance Director and will be the only other finance person in the team so it will be very hands-on. The role is responsible for assisting senior management in making critical decisions by managing, analysing and presenting key financial data.
You will be responsible for:
- Accounts payable.
- Accounts receivable.
- Credit control.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash requirements.
- Reviewing and forecasting foreign currency requirements.
- Completing VAT reporting.
- Process the monthly payroll, pension payments, P11D and year end reporting.
- Make sure that spending is in line with budgets.
- Assist with analysis of the company’s financial performance in view of making longer term forecasts to include the preparation of cashflow forecasts.
- Recommend ways of cutting costs and continuous improvement.
- Provide information for audits.
- Conduct risk assessments and minimise financial risk.
- Manage the expenses and credit card processes, to include processing expenses and mileage claims.
- Do ad-hoc reports, projects, and conduct other duties as required.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will need to be at least AAT Level 3 qualified, or higher qualification, with experience of working in a similar role. It is essential that you have knowledge/experience of VAT. You will also need to be proficient in payroll processing, including P11D reporting, and be up to date with applicable legislation but this might be outsourced in the future.
