The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

We are working with a market leading client based in Telford who currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Stock/Materials Controller to support their Stores area. They are looking for a confident individual to support within a busy stores environment who can accurately receive, store and maintain various parts and products. You will be working within a key area of the business which will require a methodical thinker and problem solver. You will be working in a clean and modern environment with lots of interaction with internal departments and team members. This role will be split between computer work and being out on the shop floor and stores area.

The Stock Controller will be responsible for:

  • Controlling all incoming and outgoing stock
  • Inputting goods-in to inventory
  • Racking materials in appropriate storage locations
  • Liaising with couriers for goods collection
  • Using ERP system to maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Perform regular stock checks and investigate any discrepancies
  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Liaise with internal departments such as procurement, sales and planning on materials required
  • Driving Forklift Truck (FLT)

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Materials Control, Stock Control or Warehousing will be essential
  • Self-starter and able to work individually or as a team
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Computer literate – previous experience on an MRP or ERP
  • FLT license – not essential
  • Driving license
  • This role would suit a candidate with previous experience in a Stock Controller / Inventory Analyst / Materials Controller / Stores Person / Warehouse Operative
