We’re recruiting on behalf of a well‑established UK manufacturer with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality solutions into specialist environments. Their marketing engine generates over 200 qualified inbound enquiries every month, and they’re now seeking a driven and commercially minded Sales Development Executive to take full command of this opportunity stream. This is a proactive, fast‑paced role where you’ll be the key link between initial interest and final sale.
You’ll engage with contractors, architects, and procurement teams to understand project needs, build rapport, and guide prospects through the quoting process with confidence and clarity. Core Duties and Responsibilities- Opportunity Management: Take full responsibility for all quotations in your remit, ensuring each is followed up promptly and tracked through to closure. Maintain a high level of daily outreach, using phone, email, and CRM tools to keep momentum and engagement high. Monitor and manage a live pipeline of hundreds of active quotes, prioritising based on value, urgency, and likelihood to convert.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong working relationships with key decision‑makers including contractors, architects, and buyers. Understand the context of each project, including timelines, budget constraints, and technical requirements, to tailor your approach. Ask insightful questions to uncover motivations, challenges, and potential objections, helping to position the company’s value effectively.
- Sales Strategy & Insight: Qualify leads by identifying price‑driven prospects early and feeding strategic insights to senior leadership. Collaborate with the Managing Director and Sales Director to determine which opportunities warrant additional support or negotiation. Protect company margins by confidently communicating the value of quality, safety, and reliability in every conversation.
- CRM & Productivity: Use CRM system to log all activity, track progress, and automate routine tasks to maximise efficiency. Leverage AI tools and digital workflows to stay organised and responsive across a high‑volume workload. Work closely with estimating, marketing, and operations teams to improve lead quality and conversion rates.
