Responsibilities
- Leading, motivating and engaging production employees on shift
- Managing performance, absence and disciplinary matters in line with company procedures
- Planning and managing production throughput to meet operational targets
- Monitoring and reporting on production performance, implementing corrective actions where required
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the shift
- Ensuring efficient use of machinery, minimising downtime and improving output
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and lean manufacturing practices
- Liaising with production planning to ensure schedules are achieved and labour is allocated effectively
- Working collaboratively with other shifts to ensure consistency and improvements are implemented
- Supporting training and development of operators
- Coordinating with maintenance and engineering teams for planned and reactive works
- Leading shift meetings and contributing to wider operational meetings
Qualifications
- Experience as a Production Shift Manager, Shift Leader, Senior Team Leader, Production Supervisor, or Team Manager
- Managing teams within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Driving performance and continuous improvement on the shop floor
- Analysing production data and implementing process improvements
- Working with Microsoft Office packages
