Purchasing Coordinator
Shrewsbury
Temporary – Permanent
Monday Friday, 8.30am 5.00pm
£28,000 – £35,000
Our client is recruiting a Purchasing Coordinator on a temporary permanent basis. As the Purchasing Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind our procurement operations. Working closely with the Head of Operations, youll ensure that all essential materials and components required for our projects are sourced, monitored, and delivered accurately and on schedule.
You will be responsible for:
- Prepare and issue tender opportunities to our trusted supplier base
- Review requirements to identify required components for a variety of projects
- Accurately determine the sizes and quantities of materials needed for each project
- Create and monitor purchase orders, ensuring all necessary materials are ordered and delivered on time
- Build relationships with suppliers, confirming delivery schedules and resolving any logistical queries.
- Maintain meticulous procurement records and assist in preparing tender submissions.
- Monitor material levels and proactively alert management to potential supply chain shifts.
- Ensure all activities align with our high company standards and specific project requirements.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have experience in procurement, supply chain, or administrative coordination who brings strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Youll be confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams, able to work comfortably with structured technical information, and proficient using Excel. Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage and will help you hit the ground running.
