An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Product Development Chemist to join an innovative manufacturer within the construction materials sector. This is a hands-on, laboratory-based position focused on the development and improvement of eco-friendly dry and liquid products. You will play a key role in product innovation, formulation development, and technical testing, ensuring all products meet required quality, performance, and sustainability standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and formulate new products and materials to meet customer and market requirements
- Improve and optimise existing formulations for performance, cost effectiveness, and sustainability
- Conduct laboratory trials and testing on raw materials and finished products
- Work closely with technical and production teams to scale laboratory developments to manufacturing level
- Record, analyse, and interpret test results, maintaining accurate technical documentation
- Provide technical support to internal teams and, where required, customers
- Keep up to date with new materials, technologies, and industry developments
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in product development
