We are currently supporting a successful, global manufacturing business operating in the Automotive sector in their search for a driven and ambitious Quality Manager with natural leadership ability.
The company is a leading name within their industry and boasts some of the most prestigious OEMs as their customers. They believe in empowering their management team, giving autonomy and accountability to lead and direct the Quality Function.
As Quality Manager, you will lead day-to-day Quality and Health & Safety activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and legal obligations. You will work cross-functionally to drive improvement initiatives, customer and supplier quality performance, and support new product introduction and project activity.
As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading site Quality and Health & Safety activities ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001
- Championing a strong safety culture and driving best-practice EHS behaviours
- Ensuring legal H&S compliance, overseeing risk assessments, investigations, and training with EHS support
- Managing customer and supplier quality issues using structured root cause and corrective action methods
- Owning PPAP submissions and maintaining Control Plans aligned to PFMEA and corrective actions
- Monitoring manufacturing quality performance and process capability metrics
- Supporting continuous improvement, NPI, PFMEA, and engineering change activity
- Conducting supplier capability reviews and audits
- Managing containment activities and delivering clear quality performance reporting to management
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in the automotive manufacturing sector (Tier 1) with extensive knowledge and experience in IATF16949 (Lead Auditor ideally, Internal as a minimum)
- Is IOSH Managing Safely qualified
- Is a hands-on, driven, and motivated individual who strives to achieve exceptional service levels for their customers
- Possesses strong leadership skills with previous demonstrable experience in a Quality Manager / Quality Supervisor / Quality Lead / QHSE / SHEQ / QUESH Management level role
- Has experience working in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement environments
- Has strong technical knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D
- Is confident working cross-functionally and engaging directly with customers and suppliers
