Permanent position in Telford, Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 17:00. Salary circa £75,000 per annum.
Prince Personnel are working with a well-established business located in Telford to recruit for a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. The role is number 2 finance and has 1 direct report.
In this role you will undertake all aspects of financial management and take responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls including risk management, are operating effectively.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing transactional team and overseeing/reviewing sales ledger, purchase ledger, stock, cash, Bank and GL entries.
- Ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively.
- Maintaining statutory records for the business.
- Company Taxation management (VAT, Corporation tax, Plastic, Waste, Customs and Excise, Class 1a, R&D, CCA).
- Fixed asset and capital allowances.
- Treasury management.
- Liaison with Banks, forecasting & MI data submission.
- Budgeting and forecasting (cashflow, balance sheet).
- Liaising with auditors and preparing audited accounts.
- Project management of process changes and implementations.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Other ad hoc duties.
Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA full or part-qualified or equivalent. You will need to have experience in operational financial and statutory accounts. MS Office skills are required including advanced MS Excel skills. Project management experience would also be an advantage.
