Prince Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a school based in Leominster. They are looking for a Business and Finance Manager on a permanent basis. The main purpose of the job is to be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for the strategic management, monitoring and reporting on the school's finance and budget. You will also be responsible for the administration of the school's private funds, health and safety practices and line management of the finance/personnel/administrative/maintenance staff.
You will be responsible for:
- All aspects of the strategic management, monitoring and reporting on the school's finance and budget.
- Advising the Principal and Governors relating to personnel and finance decisions.
- Personnel advice and guidance through HR services to the Principal and other senior colleagues.
- Health and safety advice and guidance to the governors, principal and other senior colleagues.
- The management of identified administrative staff.
- The management of site maintenance staff.
- The management, maintenance and development of the school site and its facilities.
- Preparing relevant reports and policies to present at governing body meetings.
- To manage and update the payroll/personnel systems.
- Responsibility for the school's data protection compliance with UK GDPR law, as the school's Data Protection Officer.
- Responsibility for the school's approach to planning, co-ordinating, resourcing and health and safety for external visits, as the school's External Visits Co-ordinator.
- Overall management of the school's approach to first aid.
Skills and Experience
Experience of working in an education setting would be an advantage but isn't essential. You will need to have relevant management experience and experience of working in a similar role.
