Prince are proud to be recruiting for a well-established prestigious manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. They are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join them on a permanent basis working in their shared service centre supporting a number of entities across the EMEA & USA. You are responsible for delivering support to the in-country controllers. You will support the monthly close cycle, financial and statutory reporting and policy compliance for the entities you are responsible for. You will be responsible for preparing account reconciliations to be reviewed by the ‘in country’ controller.
Duties will include:
- Maintain integrity of general ledger and master data.
- Perform monthly closing steps – settlements, depreciation and foreign exchange revaluations.
- Prepare and post journals.
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reporting.
- Intercompany reconciliations – balance sheet, P&L, loans and interest.
- Prepare account reconciliations ensuring process is complete and accurate reconciling items are consistent, and unreconciled amounts can be easily explained and corrected.
- Co-ordinate research and resolution for all reconciliation issues.
- Assist with audit requests.
- Interaction with ‘in country’ controllers and plant controllers and Global Capex and Inventory controller.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned including other shared site accounting responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role you will have knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to organise and manage multiple projects. Ideally you will have experience of using SAP but this isn’t essential.
