Overview
Finance Assistant – Telford (Permanent, 37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum
We are recruiting for a leading company in Telford who are looking for a Finance Assistant. They require someone to handle the day-to-day finance administration on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Scanning incoming post and distributing.
- Prepare and execute weekly payment run.
- Email remittance advices from weekly payment run.
- Update system with payments made.
- Add new customers & delivery addresses.
- Request credit limits with credit insurance company.
- GL code all incoming invoices.
- Scan relevant documents on daily basis.
- Checking travel/employee expenses.
- Supporting with credit control, sending statements weekly and maintaining weekly AR report.
- Run VAT reports weekly & monthly.
- Prepare VAT workings.
- Run inventory reports weekly & help with stock transactions.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Credit release orders when required.
- Supporting with various company events.
- Answering incoming calls.
- Upload legal documents when required.
- Supporting with general finance & office administration tasks.
Skills and Experience
They are looking for someone who is highly accurate with great attention to detail. You will need basic IT skills in the use of emails, spreadsheets and word processing. You will have be someone who has a professional nature and who is a confident communicator.
