This role is working for a well-established manufacturing business, who have a phenomenal track record with quality and service awards. Our client is also open to seeing trainee candidates who have completed education or an apprenticeship and have attained 18th edition electrical wiring regulations.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the preventative and reactive maintenance function
  • Working on small projects within the maintenance team
  • Install, repair, calibrate and test all electrical equipment and instruments on-site
  • Working to IEE wiring regs
  • Working on single and 3 phase equipment, control circuits, VSD drives, motors and lighting
  • Documenting all work carried out
  • High voltage awareness, PAT Testing, Emergency lighting, CCTV, security and fire alarms, telephone and internet communication products
  • Working on control systems and PLC
  • Reading drawings
  • Working on instruments such as pressure and temperature
  • Installing data points for landline and internet

Skills and Experience:

  • Must have 17th or 18th edition electric qualifications
  • Previous experience working on industrial electrics
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLCs would be advantageous
  • OR recent Apprentice or Electrical qualification graduate
  • Chemical knowledge and awareness would be an advantage
  • The right candidate will be eager to learn, a self-starter who is accountable
  • This role would suit a candidate who has previously worked as: Electrical Engineer / Electrical Maintenance / Maintenance Engineer / Multiskilled Engineer / Electrician / Industrial Electrician / Electrical Installation / Trainee Electrical Engineer / Apprentice Engineer
