Job Description

Assistant Management Accountant Telford Permanent37.5 hours per week Up to £32,500 per annum Prince Personnel are working with a leading global manufacturing business who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

This role supports the budgeting and forecasting process through the accurate collection and collation of production, cost, and stock data, while also helping to prepare selling prices and supporting information for senior management.

It includes assisting with stock takes and financial audits, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards, and ensuring compliance when working with internal teams and external auditors.

Collate financial information with costing data to produce selling prices, including preparing summary backing information, highlighting condition changes, and justifying price changes for senior management review.

Provide support during stock takes, taking full control of the audit of financial data and liaising with External Auditors.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK statutory accounting standards (FRS, SSAP), relevant international standards (GAAP), and internal Epson accounting standards, and apply these to the accounts; provide clear explanations to internal/external auditors and EEB/SEC staff where standards may conflict.

Provide support to the Management Accountant by: Producing total Company Stock Information used by Senior Management and reported to EEB/ SEC.

Maintaining cost cycles on SAP to ensure accurate cost allocation in the accounts.

Controlling and developing SAP systems to ensure information is accurate, timely, and efficient.

Setting and maintaining standard costs on SAP, including updates for material cost movements and labour/ overhead rates, with full supporting calculations for ETL Management and External Auditors.

Provide cover for the Financial Accountant in updating the SEC Global Investment Management System (GIMS) for monthly, budget, and forecast submissions.

Take responsibility for finance-related project work.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar finance or accounts role and be AAT-qualified or working towards an equivalent accounting qualification.
