Responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end observability for business‑critical payment and banking workflow.
- Configure request attributes to enrich traces with business context (transaction IDs, payment types).
- Trace distributed transactions across microservices, MQ, mainframes, and APIs using PurePath.
- Use DQL basics for querying metrics, building dashboards, and operational reporting.
- Define and manage Management Zones for multi‑team, multi‑environment segmentation.
- Design alerting strategies that reduce noise, leveraging baselines, anomaly detection, and SLO‑aligned severity tiers.
- Build audience‑specific dashboards for executives, operations, and engineering teams.
- Leverage Smartscape and Davis AI for topology‑aware root‑cause analysis.
- Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for business services and integrate them into release and incident decision‑making.
- Engage with individual application teams to assess current observability maturity (logs, metrics, traces, events).
- Identify observability gaps and create structured improvement roadmaps aligned to business priorities.
- Drive standardization and governance across multi‑team and multi‑environment landscape.
- Lead enterprise observability strategy across applications, API platforms, and important business services.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Understanding of external tool integrations (e.g., Moogsoft) with Dynatrace.
- Preferred Dynatrace Associate Certification.
- Experience defining and establishing Observability Center of Excellence (CoE) standards, including instrumentation guidelines, naming conventions, tagging and metadata standards, and dashboard and alert design principles.
