What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll play a key role delivering cutting-edge data solutions, either independently or leading small teams on UK projects that move fast (typically 2–4 months).
- Design and build modern data platforms using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS/Azure.
- Own or co-own client relationships and shape outcomes.
- Lead data lakehouse implementations and cloud migrations.
- Mentor engineers, support pre-sales, and contribute to growing a top-tier data team.
What you bring:
- 5+ years in Data Engineering (cloud-first: AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Strong hands-on Databricks experience (PySpark, SQL).
- Expertise in orchestration tools (Workflows, DLT, Airflow, ADF, Glue, Step Functions).
- Solid Python + SQL skills.
- Experience with CI/CD and IaC (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
