Your Role
As Data Governance Lead, you’ll:
- Define and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
- Engage stakeholders to embed governance into everyday operations.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to secure buy-in and drive progress.
- Create clear roadmaps and plans that move organisations forward.
- Get hands-on with data and process flows using tools like Visio.
What We’re Looking For:
Core Skills:
- Proactive, organised, and self-sufficient.
- Strong communicator who can translate data concepts into plain English.
- Prior Consulting experience.
- Skilled facilitator with confidence to lead workshops and meetings.
- Ability to research, assess maturity, and identify gaps in client capabilities.
- Comfortable creating process flows and mapping activities.
- Experience defining governance policies, frameworks, and ownership models.
- Knowledge of data quality practices and maturity frameworks.
- Familiarity with master data, metadata management, glossaries, and cataloguing.
- Awareness of data risk and ethics.
- 5+ years in Data Management/ Data Governance.
- Deep understanding of methodologies (e.g., DAMA, DCAM, CDMC) - Certifications a bonus!
- Experience with data management tooling (e.g., Collibra, Purview, Informatica).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
