Data Governance Lead – Hybrid (London)

Salary: £70,000–£90,000 (this is negotiable DOE) + Annual Bonus + Unlimited Leave + Benefits

Location: London (1 day per week onsite)

Your Role

As Data Governance Lead, you’ll:

  • Define and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
  • Engage stakeholders to embed governance into everyday operations.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to secure buy-in and drive progress.
  • Create clear roadmaps and plans that move organisations forward.
  • Get hands-on with data and process flows using tools like Visio.

What We’re Looking For:

Core Skills:

  • Proactive, organised, and self-sufficient.
  • Strong communicator who can translate data concepts into plain English.
  • Prior Consulting experience.
  • Skilled facilitator with confidence to lead workshops and meetings.
  • Ability to research, assess maturity, and identify gaps in client capabilities.
  • Comfortable creating process flows and mapping activities.
  • Experience defining governance policies, frameworks, and ownership models.
  • Knowledge of data quality practices and maturity frameworks.
  • Familiarity with master data, metadata management, glossaries, and cataloguing.
  • Awareness of data risk and ethics.
  • 5+ years in Data Management/ Data Governance.
  • Deep understanding of methodologies (e.g., DAMA, DCAM, CDMC) - Certifications a bonus!
  • Experience with data management tooling (e.g., Collibra, Purview, Informatica).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
