  • Drive the delivery of valuable, high quality data products through iterative, outcome focused delivery.
  • Guide technical decision making and support architectural trade offs across the data platform.
  • Champion engineering best practices, platform reliability, observability and operational excellence.
  • Continuously improve team processes using feedback and metrics to increase quality and delivery speed.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers to shape roadmaps, prioritise work and balance short-term delivery with long term platform health.
  • Collaborate with senior technology stakeholders to help define the future direction of the organisation's data estate.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading and developing high performing Data Engineering teams.
  • Strong background delivering data products within modern data platforms, including SQL Data Warehouses and Azure Databricks Lakehouse.
  • Experience managing engineering delivery and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of modern data engineering principles, platform reliability and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A collaborative leadership style that combines empathy with high standards.
  • A passion for delivering value through continuous improvement and iterative delivery.
