In this senior specialist role, you'll manage freight shipments worldwide and handle all aspects of quoting, forwarding, customs, and third-party coordination through to completion. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Researching and planning the most efficient and cost-effective shipping routes.
- Organizing, planning, and overseeing daily operations within the Air & Sea Freight Export Department.
- Acting as a subject matter expert, swiftly identifying and resolving operational issues to ensure prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiating contracts, transportation, and handling costs.
- Reviewing and preparing documentation to meet customs, insurance, packaging requirements, and compliance with international regulations and fiscal policies.
- Ensuring customer needs, requirements, and KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Coordinating and managing third-party services in line with customer specifications.
- Arranging insurance and assisting clients with claims when necessary.
- Maintaining clear communication with customers, ensuring visibility and control throughout the entire shipment process, including preparing management reports, statistical analysis, and unit cost assessments.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, both internal and external.
- Handling customs formalities or outsourcing services when necessary.
- Providing accurate quotations to existing and potential clients, as well as agents.
- Continuously monitoring supplier performance and implementing improvement strategies when needed.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Assisting with the department’s P&L management.
- Supporting local business development efforts, assisting with the sales process, and participating in customer visits to achieve growth objectives.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
10 years experience of both Airfreight Export and Seafreight Export Expert for Pharma/Perishable/Secure Cargo product.
