Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a warm, positive, and respectful classroom environment
  • Implement Primrose's Balanced Learning Curriculum
  • Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities that support early learning standards
  • Observe, document, and assess children's development and learning
  • Build strong, professional relationships with families through daily communication
  • Maintain classroom schedules, routines, and transitions
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom
  • Follow all state licensing, health, and safety regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to support classroom success

Qualifications:

  • Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
  • High school diploma/GED required; experience preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
