We are a busy, friendly GP practice committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive team environment. We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Receptionist/Administrator with experience using EMIS Web to join our front‑of‑house team.

Main duties of the job:

  • Greeting and assisting patients in person and over the phone
  • Booking, amending and cancelling appointments using EMIS Web
  • Handling patient queries efficiently and confidentially
  • Processing repeat prescription requests
  • Supporting the clinical and administrative team with day‑to‑day duties
  • Maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date patient records
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a GP surgery or healthcare environment
  • Proficient in using EMIS Web; experience working with EMIS required
  • Experience working with Docman
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient‑focused approach
  • Confidentiality awareness and understanding of data protection (GDPR)
  • Knowledge of NHS systems and procedures
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
