We are a busy, friendly GP practice committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive team environment. We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Receptionist/Administrator with experience using EMIS Web to join our front‑of‑house team.
Main duties of the job:
- Greeting and assisting patients in person and over the phone
- Booking, amending and cancelling appointments using EMIS Web
- Handling patient queries efficiently and confidentially
- Processing repeat prescription requests
- Supporting the clinical and administrative team with day‑to‑day duties
- Maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date patient records
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a GP surgery or healthcare environment
- Proficient in using EMIS Web; experience working with EMIS required
- Experience working with Docman
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Professional, compassionate, and patient‑focused approach
- Confidentiality awareness and understanding of data protection (GDPR)
- Knowledge of NHS systems and procedures
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
